Welcome to the Hogwarts Express Trolley Cart Galore
Hi! And welcome to the Trolley Witch. I'm an avid Harry Potter Fan and major a cooking enthusiast. I blog most regularly over at Pandemonium Noshery but had an idea one day while traveling and think about food and what influences it. And about Harry Potter since I had just been in a British Emporium, when the idea came that I would really like to read and make all the food mentioned in the books. It sounds like fun, two things I love, right? And I can't wait to have the magic of Harry Potter in my kitchen, I just hope I can live up to Molly Weasley.
Since I am the beginning of this project I wanted to start at the beginning of the series. And thus I opened book 1. The Dursleys are actually the first characters you meet in the book. Chapter one is set in their house where unbeknownst to them James and Lily have just been murdered by He-who-must-not-be-Named and Harry is about to land on their door step. But without that to upset their day they are having a typical morning with the toddler Dudley having a tantrum and throwing his cereal bowl. And then Petunia is mentioned having tea. But then we get to the good stuff, Albus Dumbledore arrives and after a chat with McGonagal and offers her a Lemon Drop.
Lemon drops happen to be what I had just acquired on my travels and was eating for the first time. And so while not a recipe, they are a recurring part of the Harry Potter series.
